In 1993, The Helping Hand Clinic, Inc. was born from a vision of Dr. Marion Pate. Dr. Pate gathered community members around the common goal of providing free medical care to Lee County residents who had neither medical insurance nor the money to pay for care.
Dr. Pate and other volunteers literally started The Helping Hand Clinic out of a closet located in another medical practice.

A sustaining donor is a person who donates a specified amount of their choice monthly. We are currently encouraging and asking everyone to do this in a specified amount. You can do this either on our website by clicking donate and making it a monthly donation or by mailing or dropping off a check or cash on a committed date every month.
